Circular in form, the dish rests on a central pedestal and a triangular base supported by three fully gilded lion’s-paw feet.
The dish has a white ground decorated with orange-red bands embellished with stylised gilt garlands. Inside, a circular leafy garland surrounds a naval anchor.
The stem of the pedestal is entirely gilded, while the triangular base features a biscuit-porcelain band, glazed and decorated along its edge with a leafy garland in relief. Broad gilt bands highlight the borders.
Mark : NONE. However, as shown in the photographs, I own a plate from the same service bearing the red stencilled mark: “Ancienne Maison de DAGOTY – ED. HONORÉ À PARIS – N° 4 Boulevard Poissonnière”. This matching plate enables the present serving stand to be confidently attributed to the Honoré Manufactory (see photographs),
