Baluster-shaped, the vase rests on a circular pedestal foot set upon a square base. The slightly flared neck is preceded by a pronounced constriction at the shoulder, giving structure to the silhouette. It is fitted with two lateral scroll handles decorated with stylised foliage and attached by relief vegetal motifs.
Against a gold ground, each side features a large rectangular reserve with polychrome decoration.
The first side depicts an animal scene with a cervid — a young stag — accompanied by a second reclining animal, probably a doe, set within a wooded landscape structured by tall trees and architecture in the background, suggesting a park or private estate.
The second side presents an animated pastoral scene: two goats are shown in the foreground within a verdant landscape. In the background, a light pavilion or animal-shelter structure stands in a wooded setting, completed by a fence.
The entire vase is richly decorated with extensive gilding covering the neck, shoulder, base and handles. In places, matt and burnished gilding alternate, creating a refined contrast with the polychrome reserves.
